My name is Darrius Thompson and I’m a neophyte when it comes to photography.  When I started seriously dedicating myself to photography I realized there were things I was doing that were a waste of time and things that really accelerated my enjoyment and progress.  Those things will certainly change quickly except for one thing.   That thing being finding photographers I really admire, studying their work,  and where possible trying to connect with them.  I’m certain that for me doing this carries the best bang for buck.   This is about sharing what I can from that process.

And if I can help others s discover great photography and photographers discover a high quality audience I’d be happy as a clam. There is some really great meaningful, impactful work out there.   Get beyond the “pop” as quickly as you can.

By day and night my full time job is new daddy, husband and tech entrepreneur.   I’m a co-founder of a technology company called OpenCandy and previously a co-founder of a company called DivX.
